Sophia Dress

This lightweight crisp white three tiered knee length dress is our founder, Anushka's favourite. Inspired by Sophia Loren's 'In Cucina con Amore', it is reminiscent of a romantic, rustic existence somewhere in the Tuscan hills, towel in hair, ready to knead some fresh pasta. The robust sleeves and small waist gives an ultra-feminine silhouette, enhanced by the red wine coloured 'tejido' (crochet) around the square neckline. It is made of deadstock 100% organic Irish linen, and has been hand embroidered by Oaxacan female artisans from the municipality of Ocotlán. One dress takes six weeks to embroider... This particular dress was drawn by Alejandra, and embroidered by Zoila and 2 of her friends.
